What is MPEDA RCMC?
MPEDA RCMC is the Registration Cum Membership Certificate issued by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce. It is mandatory for all exporters of marine products including fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, squid, octopus, seaweed, and other seafood products.
India is one of the world’s largest seafood exporters, and MPEDA oversees quality, compliance, and market development for the sector. An MPEDA RCMC is required to claim DGFT export incentives including RoDTEP, advance authorisation, and to participate in MPEDA buyer-seller meets and trade fairs.
